REIKA STRAIGHTENER

Reika RRM 100 offers high-precision geometry along the entire tube length by setting the straightening parameters depending on the actual dimensions and material automatically. The straightener’s operation is aligned with the RPS 376 grinder and the Prestar line. They are integrated into an automated finishing and testing line.

PRESTAR TUBE FINISHING AND TESTING LINE

This is an automated tube finishing and testing line featuring material handling systems and equipment for comprehensive tube testing, sampling, cutting, and labelling. Each tube entering the testing system is marked with a barcode carrying a unique number. This number is automatically identified at each testing stage. After final testing, each tube meeting all the testing criteria is assigned a unique certificate.

COLD PILGER MILLS (finished tube diameter: 10–45 mm)

These modern mills are designed for tube rolling using liquid lubricants and for making long stainless tubes that meet specific requirements for the outer and inner surface quality and dimensional and geometric accuracy. The mill's distinctive rigid roll stand ensures geometric accuracy of finished products within D+/- 0.4%, S+/-5.0%.

HEMO DEGREASING MACHINE

Tube degreasing in an automated degreasing machine helps remove all residual grease from the tube surface. Vacuum drying has a positive impact on the surface quality during scale-free heat treatment of tubes.

LOI THERMPROCESS ROLLER HEARTH FURNACE

This furnace uses a protective hydrogen atmosphere to heat-treat tubes without any scale forming. A scale-free technology eliminates the need to restore a tube’s inner surface with chemical descaling and electropolishing.

COMPREHENSIVE TESTING SYSTEMS

New equipment was used to upgrade our non-destructive testing systems. It enables ultrasonic testing for both longitudinal and transverse defects and laminations. UKV-25.VS is a comprehensive testing system that is capable of performing ultrasonic and eddy current tests (ECT), as well as measuring tube dimensions and grit size. All parameters are indicated in a certificate issued for each tube after testing.

COMPREHENSIVE TESTING SOLUTION FOR INNER PIPE SURFACES

We inspect inner pipe surfaces and sense inner eddy currents with an automated solution by Russia’s AVEK. Based on the Mentor Visual iQ video borescope by GE and the MIZ-200 instrument by Zetec (both companies are headquartered in the USA), it supports imaging and video recording during inspection (with test results linked to each pipe’s unique identifier) and a special ECT procedure for pipes to be used at nuclear power plants.

FLAW DETECTION GAUGE

A computer vision system has been deployed to identify outer surface flaws without human involvement. Used to gauge the length, width, and depth of such flaws, it can also measure a tube’s outer diameter with a set of 2D scanners to make sure it meets the specifications for 60 mm products. Coverage has overlapping to ensure that 100% of the surface can be scanned. Measurement precision is ±0.01 mm.
